Flu Blamed for 10-Year-Old New York Girl's Death

LEVITTOWN, N.Y. – Health officials say it appears that the flu caused the death of a 10-year-old Long Island, New York child.

The Nassau County Health Department said Tuesday that the initial finding, Type A Influenza, was made by the medical examiner.

The state Health Department will now do tests to confirm it. Results are expected later this week.
