Authorities say a man has been arrested for stealing more than 100 urns from a cemetery and selling them for scrap.

The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office announced Tuesday that 29-year-old William B. Moncalieri of Palm Harbor, Fla., was arrested and charged with injuring or removing a tomb or monument, dealing in stolen property and an unrelated theft and trespassing charge.

Detectives say a total of 110 urns weighing 720 pounds were recovered from a recycling company, where Moncalieri sold the urns for $1.40 per pound, totaling more than $1,000.

Authorities are trying to determine if there are other victims, as the urns were stolen from the grave sites.
