Just a few days after General Motors introduced the world to the radical Chevy Volt plug in hybrid, Chrysler will be rolling out an electric car of its own, though with slightly less fanfare.
The Wall Street Journal reports that in an effort to cheer up its dealer network, Chrysler is holding a private, closed-circuit event next week to show them the compact electric car it has been rapidly developing over the past year. Descriptions of the car sound very similar to the Volt, including a 40 mile electric range that can be extended by a small gasoline engine on longer trips.
