A 70-year-old New Hampshire woman who tried to fight off a mugger is recovering in a Boston hospital after she was dragged by her attacker's car.
The New Hampshire Union Leader says Barbara Reardon of Manchester, N.H., was listed in serious condition.
Police Capt. Paul Cecilio says Reardon suffered facial injuries and lost some teeth.
Reardon was robbed of her purse as she got out of her car in Hooksett by a suspect described as a younger, heavyset white female with dark hair, according to authorities.
The attacker allegedly emerged from an older model, dark Lincoln Continental, knocked Reardon to the ground and took her pocketbook.
Reardon then grabbed onto the vehicle and was dragged a short distance.
Police are still searching for the suspect.
