A doctor jailed for sexually assaulting a mom-to-be told of his "regret and remorse" Wednesday in a letter from his prison cell in London.
General Practitioner, Michael St John, 59, who is also convicted of intimately groping the patient, age 28, pleaded with the tribunal to continue his 30-year career in the letter.
St John sexually assaulted the Muslim woman, who was seven months pregnant, after telling her to remove her hijab at Stepney Health Center in East London.
A London court heard the doctor tried nursing from her breasts "like a baby." Nimi Bruce, for the GMC, said: "It is difficult to imagine a more heinous breach of trust." The hearing continues.
