Costa Rican President Oscar Arias says he has H1N1 and has been quarantined at home with a fever and sore throat.
In a statement, the 69-year-old president and Nobel Peace Prize winner said Tuesday that he is being treated with the anti-flu medicine oseltamivir.
The statement says Arias suffers from asthma and is at higher risk than most.
