The mother of missing Orlando tot Caylee Anthony was released from jail Tuesday, mere hours after appearing in court on new charges unrelated to the little girl's disappearance.
Casey Anthony, 22, posted the $1,250 bond early Tuesday afternoon and left jail for home, where she'll remain on house arrest with an electronic ankle monitor. She is accused of stealing checks and petty theft.
Anthony went before a judge with her lawyer just before 9 a.m. EDT, showing no emotion during the two-minute hearing and saying she understood the latest charges against her.
Her attorney Jose Baez blasted police in a brief news conference after the hearing, saying he isn't afraid of police and won't back down.

"I'm not going to be intimidated in any way, shape or form by any cop tactics," Baez told reporters. "It’s time we take a step back and question what is going on with law enforcement. ... What are you leaking rumor and conjecture for? That’s not justice."
He took jabs at what police have characterized as damning evidence against Anthony, questioning its validity. DNA results that have been released are based on incomplete tests, and searches and questioning have turned up nothing, Baez said. He urged the media to be more discerning in its reporting.
"You can't believe every leak you hear, and it's not evidence until it comes to court," Baez said.
A day earlier, Anthony turned herself in to police again and was rebooked at the Orange County Jail.
Carlos Padilla, a spokesman for the Orange County Sheriff's Department, told FOX News that the latest arrest is related to "economic crimes."
Anthony is charged with uttering a forged check, fraudulent use of personal identification and petty theft of $100 or more.
The charges were filed by Anthony's friend Amy Huizenga, who told police that Anthony borrowed her car while she was in Puerto Rico and used checks from a checkbook she accidentally left in the vehicle, according to MyFOXOrlando.com.
Police say they have surveillance video showing Anthony using the friend's checks at Target and Bank of America, MyFOXOrlando.com reported. Huizenga has accused Anthony of stealing about $700 from her bank account.
Anthony has been in and out of jail since mid-July when she reported Caylee missing more than a month after the girl was last seen.
Anthony has been charged with child neglect and making false statements to investigators in Caylee's disappearance. Investigators have called her a suspect in the case.
Police now say they believe Caylee, whose third birthday was Aug. 9, is dead based on forensic evidence of a decomposing body and DNA matching that of the toddler found in Anthony's car.
