Sitting Pretty in His Kitty

I own one for 6 Months. Couldn't ask for a better car.

The Beholder

As the current owner of a 2003 Jaguar XKR, I have an affection for the marque, and would certainly consider getting another when I trade this one in. However, when I read your statement that "the XF is, by far, the best-looking midsize luxury car in the world" I was completely nonplussed with amazement. Once I'd recovered my faculties, my first thought was, "Is he CRAZY??!!" The XF has completely abandoned every styling cue that made a Jag a Jag- there is none of that "cat poised to pounce" crouching tension- instead it resembles the wind-tunnel approved, supository-shaped boredom of every other Merc, BMW, Acura, Lexus, Audi etc etc. of that size.

You might have a look at the Maserati GranTurismo- it will certainly make you realize the ridiculous of your above statement.

FCR: The two-door, subcompact GranTurismo? That's a nice one, but...

Skin Deep

I just purchased the XF in May. All I can say is: It is all looks and nothing else!! It is the most unreliable car I have ever driven. Of course my previous vehicle was a Lexus so I am not used to having to go to the service department every other week for something or other! Note to potential buyers: Don't do it!
