Thursday we're tracking Hurricane Frances (search), but we'll also do a fair amount from the Republican Convention. A very special guest will be Roland Betts, one of President Bush's closest friends in the whole world. (Classmates at college, business partners, etc.) Roland's wife, Lois, is one of Laura Bush's closest friends as well and their kids are pals. You get the picture — the families have been part of each other's lives for many years.
Here's what interests me though: Roland is a true, lifelong Democrat. But he's crossing over this election to vote for President Bush. Why? Well, let's see what he says when I get the microphone strapped on him tomorrow!
I haven't asked him, but I'm sure Roland would be open to answering any personal questions you want to ask him about the president. So send your questions/comments to: dayside@foxnews.com
I'm also planning to include correspondent Brian Wilson in tomorrow's show... mainly because he is one of the few seasoned reporters who really "gets" the humor of certain goings-on at these conventions. Brian's wry observations from the DNC were mighty funny, so I'm guessing he'll provide the same from Madison Square Garden. But I'm also a little worried... Brian called my producer late this afternoon and asked if he could bring the "Naked Cowboy" on the air with him.
Yeesh!
Linda
