Britain's Royal Air Force Regiment has found a new use for condoms in the country. They are now being used as a recruitment tool for young men and to "raise the regiment’s profile," The Sun reported.
As well as their intended purpose, potential recruits are told how a non-lubricated condom can be used by troops on operations to carry water, stop bleeding and prevent sand jamming a weapon.
The campaign by the RAF Regiment involves mounting the condoms on cards with the slogan: “Apply to weapon when on maneuvers.”
“We felt the condom would appeal to the target audience and hopefully encourage them to think about the RAF Regiment in a different way rather than just at face value,” The COI's Emily White said.
“We were able to demonstrate that in operational situations everyday things can be used in a variety of ways,” The Ministry of Defense told The Sun.
