At least nine people were hurt when a Chicago Blue Line train struck a car that jumped a wall and landed on the tracks early Thursday morning.
Service along Chicago's Blue Line was disrupted Thursday after the collision.
Chicago Transit Authority spokeswoman Kimberly Myles says the driver got out of the vehicle before the collision and was being treated at a hospital.
Several train passengers complained of minor injuries and were taken to hospitals.
Chicago Fire Department spokesman Larry Langford says the car was in an accident with two other vehicles before it jumped the barrier.
Service along a three-mile stretch of the Blue Line on Chicago's West Side was shut down in both directions.
Myles says it's unclear how long service will be disrupted.
