Police in New Orleans have arrested a man in connection to a double kidnapping over the weekend.

Kenneth Barnes, 22, was charged with aggravated kidnapping and home invasion along with numerous other charges, authorities told FOX8Live.com. He was one of six people picked up Sunday for questioning about the abduction of 19-year-old Fitzgerald Phillips and 19-year-old Calysse Perkins.

The two are still missing. A black Nissan Maxima owned by Phillips was found Sunday afternoon in New Orleans.

Police said the two were in Perkins' apartment when two men got inside early Sunday, ransacked the residence and forced them to go to Phillips' house where more was stolen.

According to investigators, Phillips' family later received a ransom call from his cell phone.

Phillips is a student at Southeastern University. NOPD Assistant Superintendent Marlon Defillo told FOX8Live.com that neither victim has a criminal background so they do not believe the kidnapping was drug-related.
