A Cumberland man accused of cutting a hole in his neighbor's garage roof and stealing tools apparently didn't think too hard about his getaway.

Police said 21-year-old Kyle Dagostino was arrested after police saw footprints and all-terrain vehicle tracks headed from the garage toward his house.

They said they then noticed suspicious items and an ATV in Dagostino's yard.

The homeowner later identified the items found at the house as hers. Police interviewed Dagostino and arrested him for receiving stolen property.

Police said they got an assist from the homeowner, who'd been robbed several times before.

Police said the homeowner rigged a horseshoe sandpit outside the house to help capture the footprints and ATV tracks. They gave no further details.
