The seven major concerts on seven continents will follow the approach used by Live 8, the 2005 concerts targeted to African debt relief, according to published reports.

Gore wants to draw more attention to his focus on global climate change, which earned him a Nobel nomination and two Oscar nods for his documentary, "An Inconvenient Truth." The film is also nominated for Best Documentary Feature at the upcoming Academy Awards.
