MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Police in Memphis are investigating three killings in an hour's time.
Just after 12:30 a.m. Sunday, police responded to a call about a home invasion in progress. They arrived to find a man holding a gun and shot him after telling him several times to lay down the weapon. His name wasn't immediately released, but The Commercial Appeal reported he was 38 years old.
At 1:48 a.m., police responded to a call and found pizza deliveryman Stephen Faulkner lying in the front yard of a vacant building. They believe the 38-year-old Faulker was a robbery victim.
Ten minutes later, police received a call and found a 48-year-old woman dead on the floor of a bedroom. Investigators believe the death was a homicide, but were awaiting a coroner's report on the cause of death. The victim wasn't identified.
