DEVELOPING: Pakistan's army says troops backed by artillery and helicopter gunships have killed 26 militants near the Afghan border.
The army said in a statement Saturday that the militants were killed in an operation in Mohmand, a frontier region where security forces have been battling Taliban militants for months.
The statement didn't mention any casualties among the troops.
