Gunfire at a Georgia truck rental business left two dead and three hurt Tuesday afternoon.

Police arrived quickly on the scene of the deadly shooting -- a Penske truck rental on Barrett Lakes Boulevard -- and apprehended a suspect, a former employee according to the Penske corporation.

The truck rental group also said that of the five people shot, four were employees and one was a customer.

Police said the shooting in suburban Kennesaw happened inside the business Tuesday afternoon, just before 2 pm. Conflicting reports initially emerged on the number of people killed in the incident, although officer Joe Hernandez with the Cobb County police confirmed that the injured were airlifted to local hospitals, including Grady Memorial Hospital and Atlanta Medical Center.

In a brief press conference at 3:35 pm, officer Hernandez stated that three people were killed in the rampage, which ranged across the Penske facility. A police spokesman later confirmed that only two people were killed.

After the shooting, the suspect, dressed in camouflage attire, left in a pickup truck. Hernandez stated that the police were able to apprehend the suspect about a mile from the facility, thanks to numerous phone reports and 911 calls about the incident.

Little information exists about the killer at present, described by the policeman as "an older white male, in good condition, in police custody."

Hernandez continued that "investigators are speaking with everyone who would have been in side the business and had information."

The names of the victims have not yet been released.
