Two people were killed when a twin-engine plane crashed shortly after takeoff from the Chino Airport.
Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Ian Gregor says the Beechcraft A100 took off shortly before 9:30 a.m. Tuesday on a flight to Visalia and went down three-quarters of a mile west of the airport,
Footage from television news helicopters showed the plane upside down in a field. A long skid mark led to the plane.
Skies were hazy at the time and Gregor said the plane took off using its instruments.
However, it was not immediately clear if the weather played any role in the crash.
