The Washington Wizards signed free agent guard Eric Maynor on Wednesday.

As per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Maynor, selected by the Utah Jazz with the 20th overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft, has spent the bulk of his career as a reserve for the Oklahoma City Thunder before being moved to the Portland Trail Blazers at the trade deadline last year.

In 64 games last season, Maynor averaged 4.5 points and 2.8 assists per game.

Over a four-year career with the Jazz, Thunder, and Blazers, the 26-year-old has averaged 4.5 points, 3.0 assists and 1.3 rebounds per contest. He missed most of the 2011-12 season due to an ACL injury.

The Wizards also signed guard Garrett Temple. He appeared in 51 games (36 starts) for Washington last season and averaged 5.1 points and 2.3 assists.

The moves gives the Wizards a solid backup behind franchise player John Wall. Washington used five different point guards last year, as the team battled through various injuries and roster changes.
