BOULDER, Colo. – Brittany Wilson scored a career-high 19 points and Brittany Spears had 18 to lead Colorado over No. 17 Iowa State 66-60 Saturday night.
The Buffaloes (10-6, 1-2 Big 12) had lost 24 in a row to ranked teams, and eight straight against Iowa State.
The Cyclones (13-4, 2-1) made only 7 of 31 shots in the first half, and missed five of six free throws in overtime.
Kelsey Bolte scored 26 points for the Cyclones and made a tying 3-pointer with 10 seconds left in regulation.
Colorado led 29-22 at halftime, and was up 40-27 early in the second. Iowa State went on a 12-2 run to close the gap to two points with 12 minutes to go.
Chelsea Dale scored 11 points, including two free throws in overtime to put Colorado up 64-60 with 42 seconds left.
