Minnesota Wild forward Jason Pominville will not play in Game 1 of the team's first-round playoff series against the Chicago Blackhawks on Tuesday.
Pominville missed the final two regular-season games after being elbowed in the head by Los Angeles' Dustin Brown last Tuesday.
The 30-year-old Pominville was acquired from the Sabres at the trade deadline. He had four goals and five assists in 10 games for the Wild this season.
