Lake Buena Vista, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - The Chicago White Sox and right- hander Felipe Paulino agreed to terms on a one-year, $1.75 million contract Monday.
The deal includes a $4 million club option for 2015.
Paulino has compiled a 13-32 record with a 4.93 earned run average in 93 career games (61 starts) for Houston, Colorado and Kansas City.
The 30-year-old was impressive in seven starts for the Royals in 2012, posting a 1.67 ERA, before undergoing ulnar collateral ligament replacement surgery on his right elbow in July of that season.
Paulino made seven combined starts during injury rehabilitation assignments with Kansas City's Double-A and Triple-A affiliates in 2013, going 0-3 with a 6.51 ERA.
