Chicago, IL (SportsNetwork.com) - The Chicago White Sox made a bevy of roster moves Thursday, headlined by pitcher Ronald Belisario being designated for assignment.
Belisario, 31, struggled in his only year with the White Sox, going 4-8 with eight saves and a 5.56 earned run average over 62 appearances. He allowed 46 runs in 66 1/3 innings.
The White Sox also claimed pitcher Onelki Garcia off waivers from the Los Angeles Dodgers, outrighted outfielder Jared Mitchell to Triple-A Charlotte and purchased the contracts of four players. Infielders Rangel Ravelo and Tyler Saladino, pitcher Frankie Montas and catcher Kevan Smith were added to the 40-man roster.
