Wolverhampton, England – Wolverhampton announced on Friday that Stephen Ward has signed a new contract that ties him to the club until the summer of 2015.
The 26-year-old joined Wolves from Bohemians in January 2007 and has gone on to feature at a number of different positions for manager Mick McCarthy during his time at Molineux.
"We're all delighted that Wardy has extended his contract," McCarthy told the club's official website. "He has earned a new deal by the manner of his performances.
"Since arriving from Bohemians, he has just got better and better and is a top professional who never stops working."
The Republic of Ireland international has started all 11 of his team's games in the league this season, scoring two goals.
