Arnhem, Netherlands – Vitesse cruised to a 3-0 defeat of NAC at the GelreDome on Saturday to keep the pressure on Ajax at the top of the Eredivisie table.
Wilfried Bony continued his scoring tear by bagging a brace in the victory, scoring in the 28th and 59th minutes to bring his league tally to 29 goals on the season.
Renato Ibarra added a goal for the home side in the 50th minute to help complete the comfortable victory.
The win sees Vitesse climb to 60 points on the season to go level with Ajax for top spot in the Eredivisie.
PSV also improved to 60 points on the season following its 3-1 defeat of lowly Willem II at Willem II Stadion on Saturday. Mark Van Bommel and Jordens Peters exchanged goals before Ola Toivonen and Timothy Derijck turned the match in PSV's favor.
Ajax sits atop the league on goal difference but a positive result against Heracles on Sunday would send the Amsterdam club into sole possession of first place.
Elsewhere in Eredivisie action on Saturday, Twente claimed a 2-0 victory over Roda thanks to goals from Luc Castaignos and Nacer Chadli while Zwolle and RKC Waalwijk played to a 1-1 draw.
