Eden Prairie, MN (SportsNetwork.com) - The Minnesota Vikings released wide receiver Greg Jennings on Saturday.

The move, which clears up about $5 million in cap space, comes one day after the Vikings acquired wide receiver Mike Wallace from the Miami Dolphins.

Jennings led the Vikings in receiving last year with 59 catches for 742 yards and six touchdowns. The Western Michigan product had 68 catches for 804 yards and four touchdowns in 2013, his first season with Minnesota.

The 31-year-old Jennings spent the first seven seasons of his career with the Green Bay Packers before signing a five-year deal with Minnesota in March 2013.

A second-round draft choice by Green Bay in 2006, Jennings has caught 552 passes for 8,083 yards and 63 touchdowns in 127 NFL games.
