Eden Prairie, MN (SportsNetwork.com) - The Minnesota Vikings placed second- year linebacker Audie Cole on injured reserve on Friday.
Cole did not practice all week due to an ankle injury he sustained in Minnesota's 42-14 loss at Cincinnati last Sunday. The 24-year-old appeared in 13 games with five starts this season and racked up 45 tackles with one sack.
The Vikings signed cornerback Robert Steeples from the practice squad to fill the open spot on the active roster.
