Vikings' Freeman has concussion

Eden Prairie, MN ( - Minnesota Vikings quarterback Josh Freeman suffered a concussion during Monday night's 23-7 loss to the New York Giants.

Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier stated Wednesday that Christian Ponder will start Sunday's game against the Green Bay Packers if Freeman can't go.

"We have to move forward as if he is not playing on Sunday night," Frazier said.

Freeman was 20-of-53 for 190 yards with an interception in Monday's tilt.

Freeman started the season with Tampa Bay, but struggled in the club's first three games and was released in early October.

He completed just 45.7 percent of his passes with the Bucs for 571 yards with two touchdowns and three interceptions before being benched in favor of rookie Mike Glennon.
