UNLV coach Bobby Hauck says five players have been suspended and will miss Saturday's matchup with No. 5 Boise State.

Hauck says the suspensions are for violations of team rules and code of conduct. Hauck did not provide more details of the violations.

The players suspended include: freshman linebacker Peni Vea; freshman receiver Devante Davis; junior linebacker Princeton Jackson; sophomore running back Tim Cornett and sophomore linebacker Tani Maka.

Maka is a starter who leads the team in tackles and has two interceptions on the season. Cornett is averaging 5.5 yards per carry and has four touchdowns.

The Rebels (2-5, 1-1) are coming off a 38-35 victory over Colorado State, but face their toughest test in the season against the unbeaten Broncos.
