The United States men's hockey team defeated Switzerland 2-0 Wednesday to reach the semifinal round of the Olympics.
The U.S. will meet the winner of Finland/Czech Republic.
Zach Parise of the Devils scored both goals for the Americans, who entered the third period tied 0-0. The U.S. outshot a tired Swiss team 44-19. Switzerland played 70 minutes of hockey before beating Belarus in a shootout on Tuesday to advance to the quarterfinal round.
