Twins activate Doumit
Minneapolis, MN – The Minnesota Twins activated Ryan Doumit from the 7-day disabled list and he went 1-for-4 as the designated hitter in Friday's 5-2 loss to the Chicago White Sox.
Doumit, who has missed the Twins' last eight games with concussion-like symptoms, is batting .245 with nine homers and 44 RBI in 100 games this season.
To make room for Doumit on the 25-man roster, the Twins optioned Chris Colabello to Triple-A Rochester. Colabello, who is being optioned for the fourth time this season, is hitting .221 with four homers and eight RBI in 29 games for the parent club.
