Troyes, France – Troyes claimed its first win of the Ligue 1 season in dramatic fashionon Sunday as Benjamin Nivet struck three minutes from time to give the club a 1-0 win over Marseille.
It looked as if the match would finish scoreless, giving Marseille a point to move into sole possession of first place. But Nivet's late goal sees Marseille's winless run extend to three games.
Troyes moves out of the Ligue 1 cellar, improving to five points to go ahead of Nancy on goal differential.
Marseille remains tied atop the league with PSG, which preserved its unbeaten start to the season with a 1-0 defeat of Reims to improve to 19 points.
Lyon 1, Brest 0
Lyon, France - Lyon got back to winning ways on Sunday thanks to Bafetimbi Gomis, who scored in the 57th minute to help club secure a 1-0 victory over Brest at the Stade de Gerland.
Lyon had not claimed three points from a match in its previous three outings, but Sunday's win lifts the club to third place with 18 points on the season.
Brest is winless in its last three league matches to remain stuck on 10 points.
Ajaccio 0, Bastia 0
Ajaccio, France - Ajaccio and Bastia played to a 0-0 draw at the Stade Francois Coty on Sunday to remain separated by just a point.
The most eventful moments of the stalemate came inside the final 10 minutes when Ajaccio's Johan Cavalli and Bastia's Gael Angoula were sent off.
