Nashville, TN (SportsNetwork.com) - Tennessee Titans president and CEO Tommy Smith is stepping down after 1 1/2 years on the job.
Smith, who also serves as president and chairman of Adams Resources & Energy, said Friday he couldn't serve both positions at the same time as well as he hoped.
He took over his position with the Titans after the death of team owner Bud Adams in October 2013.
The Titans named Steve Underwood interim president. Underwood retired as senior executive vice president and general counsel of the Titans in 2011.
