Stephen Gallacher will miss the cut in his last tournament before his first Ryder Cup, putting his poor performance at the Wales Open down to "thinking too much" about playing at Gleneagles next week.
Gallacher failed to recover from his opening round of 7-over 78 at Celtic Manor, with his 70 in the second round on Friday leaving him five shots below the expected cut mark.
The Scot says "I was trying maybe a wee bit too hard yesterday and teeing up thinking too much about next week whereas today I was a lot more focused."
Gallacher says there are "no alarm bells ringing" ahead of his Ryder Cup debut next week, and that he feels "good both mentally and physically."
