Team USA picked up six medals at the 2012 UCI Para-Cycling Track World Championships in Carson, Calif. Greta Neimanas (Chicago, Ill.) collected four medals, including gold in the women's scratch event, while teammate Allison Jones (Colorado Springs, Colo.) earned two medals.


All four U.S. teams won gold medals at the World Archery Indoor Championship in Las Vegas on Feb. 9. In total, U.S. archers picked up 16 medals at the tournament, including seven golds, five silvers and four bronzes.


Team USA posted one of its best world cup finishes on Feb. 11 in Kontiolathi, Finland, as Lowell Bailey (Lake Placid, N.Y.), Russell Currier (Stockholm, Maine), Tim Burke (Paul Smiths, N.Y.) and Jay Hakkinen (Kasilof, Ark.) finished fifth, sixth, 13th and 16th in the men's 10-kilometer race. Burke, Bailey and Hakkinen also posted top-15 finishes in the men's 12.5-kilometer pursuit.


Skeleton athlete Kyle Tress (Ewing, N.J.) slid to third- and fourth-place finishes at the Intercontinental Cup in Park City, Utah, on Feb. 11.

Bree Schaaf (Bremerton, Wash.) and Emily Azevedo (Chico, Calif.) led the U.S. women's bobsled team with a seventh-place finish, while Cory Butner (Yucaipa, Calif.) and Chuck Berkeley (Walnut Creek, Calif.) navigated their two-man bobsled to a 13th-place finish at the world cup on Feb. 10 in Calgary, Alta. Meanwhile, skeleton athlete John Daly (Smithtown, N.Y.) captured a top-five finish at the event.


Pete Fenson (Bemidji, Minn.) continued a 19-game winning streak on Feb. 12 at the USA Curling National Championships in Aston, Pa. Meanwhile, Allison Pottinger (Eden Prairie, Minn.) and teammates advanced to a 3-0 record in the tournament.


Steele Johnson (Carmel, Ind.) placed fourth in synchronized 10-meter and eighth in the individual 10-meter competition to lead Team USA at the FINA Diving Grand Prix in Rostock, Germany. The U.S. also picked up a fourth-place finish from Anna James (Midland, Texas) and Jessica Parratto (Dover, N.H.) in the women's synchronized 10-meter event.


Pairs Caydee Denney (Wesley Chapel, Fla.) and John Coughlin (Kansas City, Mo.), and Mary Beth Marley (Downers Grove, Ill.) and Rockne Brubaker (Algonquin, Ill.) secured silver and bronze medals at the Four Continents Figure Skating Championships, becoming the first two U.S. pairs to medal at the event since 2000. Meanwhile, Ashley Wagner (Alexandria, Va.) won the ladies' short program, while Ross Miner (Boston, Mass.) took third in the men's free skate.


Sam Sacksen (Somerset, Pa.) placed first in the final two events en route to winning the U.S. domestic qualifier in Colorado Springs, Colo. Eli Bremer (Monument, Colo.) came in second while Will Brady (Howell, Mich.) placed third.


Hannah Kearney (Norwich, VT) won her 15th-consecutive world cup in Beida Lake, China.

Tom Wallisch (Pittsburg, Pa.) finished second in men's slopestyle to win the Dew Tour Cup in Snowbasin, Utah. Nick Goepper (Lawrenceburg, Ind.) won the competition, while Bobby Brown (Breckenridge, Colo.) took third. Meanwhile, Devin Logan (West Dover, Vt.) won the bronze in the women's slopestyle division.

With a second-place finish, snowboarder Faye Gulini (Salt Lake City, Utah) was the top U.S. finisher at the Sprint U.S. Snowboarding Grand Prix.


Shani Davis (Chicago, Ill.) captured a gold medal in the 1500-meter race at the Essent ISU World Cup in Hamar, Norway, on Feb. 12. The win lifted Davis to the top of the overall 1,500-meter world cup leaderboard.

Team USA had a strong showing at the world cup in Dordrecht, Netherlands, as Simon Cho (Laurel Md.) and Lana Gehring (Glenview, Ill.) earned gold medals in the men's 500-meter and ladies 1,000-meter and 1,500-meter races. Emily Scott (Springfield, Mo.) placed third in the 1,000-meter race and won a silver medal in the 300-meter relay with teammates Gehring, Alyson Dudek (Hales Corners, Wis.) and Tamara Frederick (Park Ridge, Ill.).


After finishing 11-0 at the U.S. Olympic Trials for Table Tennis in Cary, N.C., Gao Jun (Covina, Calif.) is one step closer to an Olympic berth. Jun - along with Ariel Hsing (Fremond, Calif.), Lily Zhang (Palo Alto, Calif.) and Erica Wu (Arcadia, Calif.) - will represent Team USA at the 2012 North America Olympic Games Qualifying Tournament in April. Michael Landers (Mineola, N.Y.), Barney Reed (New York, N.Y.), Timothy Wang (Houston, Texas) and Adam Hugh (Warren, N.J.) will represent the men's team.


Mardy Fish (Edina, Minn.), John Isner (Greensboro, N.C.), Jim Courier (Sanford, Fla.), Mike Bryan (Camarillo, Calif.) and Ryan Harrison (Shreveport, La.) swept the Swiss team, 5-0, in Fribourg, Switzerland, to advance to the Davis Cup quarterfinals.


Jillian Camarena-Williams (Woodland, Calif.) and Galen Rupp (Portland, Ore.) set American records in Fayetteville, Ark., at the USA Track & Field Classic. Camarena-Williams broke her existing American record in the women's shot put with a toss of 19.89 meters, while Rupp's two-mile time of 8:09.72 broke Bernard Lagat's previous record of 8:10.07.

Sara Hall (Flagstaff, Ariz.) and Bobby Mack (Raleigh, N.C.) outran the competition as each won their first career USA cross country title on Feb. 11 in St. Louis, Mo.


J.D. Bergman (Columbus, Ohio) won a bronze medal in the 211.5-pound weight division at the Yasar Dogu International in Ankara, Turkey, on Feb. 12.

Team USA won three medals on the first day of competition at the Granma Cup in Havana, Cuba. Jordan Holm (Minneapolis, Minn.) captured a silver medal in the 185-pound division, while C.P. Schlatter (Minneapolis, Minn.) and Chas Betts (Colorado Springs, Colo.) earned bronze medals in the 145.5- and 185-pound divisions.
