Houston, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - The Houston Texans have signed veteran wide receiver Nate Washington.
Washington caught 40 passes for 647 yards and two touchdowns for the Tennessee Titans last season.
The 31-year-old Washington spent the last six seasons with the Titans. He was originally signed by the Steelers as an undrafted free agent in 2005 and spent four years in Pittsburgh, where he won two Super Bowls (2005 and 2008).
During his NFL career, Washington has totaled 411 receptions for 6,296 yards and 40 touchdowns. He also has recorded nine consecutive seasons playing all 16 games and his current streak of 144 consecutive games played ranks first among NFL wide receivers.
Houston has also signed ex-Jaguar Cecil Shorts this offseason while losing Andre Johnson to the Colts.
