Houston, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - The Houston Texans released linebacker Tim Dobbins on Wednesday.

Dobbins appeared in just three games this season because of a hamstring injury.

The 30-year-old Dobbins was in his third season with the Texans. He made six starts for the team last year and amassed 43 tackles and one interception.

Originally drafted by the San Diego Chargers in the fifth round of 2006 NFL Draft, Dobbins has 253 tackles, two sacks and three interceptions in 110 career games with the Chargers, Dolphins and Texans.
