Tarik Cohen ran for 144 yards on 36 carries and NC A&T scored twice on defense to beat Delaware State 33-20 on Saturday.

NC A&T (6-2, 3-1 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) went up 7-0 on Marquell Cartwright's 4-yard touchdown run in the first quarter. Later in the frame, D'Vonte Grant blocked a punt inside Delaware State territory and Jerome Beatty recovered for a touchdown to make it 14-0.

In the second, Marlon Kelly's pass was picked off by defensive lineman Angelo Keyes, who went 55 yards for another score and the Aggies led 24-0 at half.

A pair of Cody Jones field goals after intermission upped NC A&T's lead to 30-0.

Delaware State (2-6, 2-2) got on the board in the fourth quarter on Lamar Shaw's 2-yard touchdown run and a pair of Gilbert Rivera touchdown passes — of 14 yards to Milton Williams III and 18 yards to Marquel Knight.
