Wigan's hopes of survival took a major hit on Tuesday as the club suffered a 3-2 loss to Swansea City at the DW Stadium to remain in the relegation zone.

The Latics face a trip to Arsenal next Tuesday before hosting Aston Villa on the final matchday of the season.
Swansea remains in ninth place despite improving to 46 points. It was the Welsh club's first league victory since March 2.
The Latics grabbed the lead just before halftime when Michel Vorm's parried clearance fell to Roger Espinoza, who slammed a first-time volley through traffic and into the back of the net at the near post.
Swansea managed to equalize less than five minutes into the second period as Angel Rangel received a cross to the far side and ripped a shot across goal that went in off the back post.
Wigan went back in front in the 53rd minute when James McCarthy latched on to a through ball and fired a low shot underneath the outstretched arm of Vorm, but Swansea climbed level once more as Itey Schechter's shot from outside the box six minutes later received a deflection on its way past Joel Robles.
The visitors ultimately claimed the lead for good when Dwight Tiendalli capitalized on a defensive miscue at the back post to slip a the game-winning goal past Robles.
