Antwerp, Belgium (SportsNetwork.com) - Carla Suarez Navarro of Spain rolled to a straight-set victory over Karolina Pliskova to earn a spot in the final at the Diamond Games tennis tournament.
The fifth-seeded Suarez Navarro cruised to a 6-2, 6-2 triumph on Saturday, avenging a three-set loss to Pliskova in the Sydney quarterfinals earlier this year.
Awaiting Suarez Navarro in Sunday's final will be Germany's Andrea Petkovic.
Petkovic battled her way past Barbora Zahlavova Strycova of the Czech Republic 7-6 (7-2), 7-6 (8-6).
Suarez Navarro will play in her seventh career final and will try for just her second title. Her lone win after five straight losses in finals came last year in Portugal.
The 2015 Antwerp champion will pocket $113,000.
