(SportsNetwork.com) - The Houston Rockets will resume a three-game homestand Friday versus the Milwaukee Bucks at the Toyota Center.
The Rockets faced a tough challenge in the opener of the residency on Wednesday and handed the Chicago Bulls a 101-90 defeat.
James Harden scored 27 points and Donatas Motiejunas had 15 points and 10 rebounds for the Rockets, who won for the fifth time in six tries.
Trevor Ariza added 20 points and Josh Smith pulled down 13 boards for the Rockets.
"Every night that's our motto is to be aggressive. We have so many guys that can come in here and play," Harden said.
Houston is 17-7 at home and will also host Portland on the stay.
The Bucks will try to push their winning streak to six games Friday night.
Milwaukee made it five wins in a row with a 113-105 overtime victory versus the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday.
O.J. Mayo drained a game-tying 3-pointer in the final second of regulation and Brandon Knight scored 12 of his 24 points in overtime.
"We're the Milwaukee Grinders. We're patenting that right now," Bucks forward Jared Dudley said.
The Bucks last won six in a row from March 9-20, 2012.
Milwaukee has a 15-12 road record and will start a five-game homestand Saturday versus the Boston Celtics.
Houston topped Milwaukee, 117-103, on Nov. 29 at the Bradley Center and was led by Harden's 34 points.
The Rockets are 15-4 in the last 19 meetings between the teams.
