The St. Louis Blues have traded defenseman Jordan Leopold to the Columbus Blue Jackets for a fifth-round pick in the 2016 draft.
The 34-year-old Leopold has played 12 years in the NHL for Calgary, Colorado, Florida, Pittsburgh, Buffalo and St. Louis. He was expected to be available for the Blue Jackets against San Jose on Saturday night.
He has 66 goals and 144 assists in 659 regular-season games, along with adding 17 assists in 71 career Stanley Cup playoff games.
He had two penalty minutes in seven games with the Blues this season.
The Blues also recalled defenseman Chris Butler from the Chicago Wolves.
