Spurs host Bulls in Alamo City

(SportsNetwork.com) - The San Antonio Spurs face a stiff challenge Sunday against the Chicago Bulls at the AT&T Center.

The Spurs have won four in a row and are 2-0 on a six-game homestand.

San Antonio recorded a 120-111 victory over the Denver Nuggets on Friday, as Kawhi Leonard scored 25 points and pulled down eight rebounds. Tony Parker added 24 points for the Spurs.

Danny Green provided 11 points and Tiago Splitter scored 10 for the Spurs, who have won their first two contests of a six-game homestand after a 4-5 rodeo road trip.

It was an efficient night for Parker, who went 10-of-15 from the field and had seven assists.

"He's healthy, he's getting his rhythm back, which helps you get your confidence back," Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said.

The Spurs are 22-7 at home and will also host Toronto, Cleveland and Minnesota on the homestand.

Chicago is coming off a 98-84 loss to the Indiana Pacers on Friday.

Pau Gasol ended with 18 points and 10 rebounds for the Bulls, who had a two- game winning streak snapped. Doug McDermott had a career-high 16 points and Mike Dunleavy recorded 14 points and nine rebounds.

"Any scorer, once they see the first one go in, it opens everything else up for them," said McDermott. "I thought I still missed a lot of shots that I should have hit and those could have helped us win the game."

The Bulls and Spurs have split the last four meetings.
