Brookings, SD (SportsNetwork.com) - South Dakota State University officials will announce on Saturday plans to build a new football stadium.
KDLT News in Sioux Falls said the 18,500-seat venue could cost up to $65 million, with much of it financed through bonds, and be ready for the 2016 season.
The announcement will be made during a press conference on camnpus at the Dykhouse Student-Athlete Center before South Dakota State's game against Southern Illinois.
A public announcement will be made during halftime of the game.
The Jackrabbits, who are ranked seventh in the FCS, play in 51-year-old Coughlin-Alumni Stadium.
