South Dakota State outduels Southern Utah 105-95

Nate Wolters scored 29 points and Clint Sargent 23 as South Dakota State beat Southern Utah 105-95 on Saturday night.

Wolters sank 13 of 14 free throws and had nine assists, while Sargent made 4 of 7 3-pointers to pace the Jackrabbits (10-4, 2-1 Summit League).

They were supported by 13 points from Tony Fiegen, 12 from Jordan Dykstra and 10 from Chad White.

Ryan Brimley made 6 of his 9 3-pointers to match Wolters with 29 points for the Thunderbirds (4-10, 1-3). Jackson Stevenett added 19 points, Jake Nielson 14 and Matt Massey 13.

The teams put up identical shooting marks, hitting 32 of 59 for 54.2 percent. But South Dakota State sank 31 free throws to 23 for the Thunderbirds and had a 10-8 edge in 3-pointers.

Both teams also had 32 rebounds and 16 assists.
