South Carolina senior quarterback Connor Shaw left Saturday's game against Central Florida with a right shoulder sprain.
Shaw suffered the shoulder injury after fumbling the ball on a running play during South Carolina's opening drive. He was taken down awkwardly by Terrance Plummer, who forced the turnover while Brandon Alexander recovered the football for UCF.
Junior Dylan Thompson took over for Shaw.
