Elon, NC (SportsNetwork.com) - Elon University is set to hold a news conference at noon ET Thursday in which director of athletics Dave Blank will announce the next head coach of the Phoenix.
Multiple reports indicate that Elon will hire Ball State offensive coordinator Rich Skrosky to succeed Jason Swepson, who was fired after a 2-10 season and a last-place finish in the Southern Conference in 2013.
Skrosky was Elon's offensive line coach from 2006-2008 and the offensive coordinator from 2009-1020.
Skrosky served under former Lehigh and Elon coach Pete Lembo at Ball State for three seasons. Ball State is heading to its second straight bowl game appearance, and has a 25-12 record over the last three seasons with Skrosky on its staff.
Elon will leave the Southern Conference for the Colonial Athletic Association next year.
