New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Carolina Hurricanes forward Jeff Skinner was recognized Monday as the NHL's top performer for last week.
Skinner registered a league-best five goals along with one assist. His week was highlighted by a hat trick, the first of his career, in a 5-2 victory over Nashville on Thursday.
Edmonton Oilers forward Taylor Hall was named the Second Star after notching four goals and two assists.
Vancouver Canucks goaltender Roberto Luongo went 3-0-0 with a 1.30 goals- against average and a .960 save percentage to earn Third Star honors.
