San Jose, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - San Jose Sharks center Joe Thornton had his streak of 319 consecutive games played come to an end on Saturday.
Thornton sat out Saturday's game against the Blues due to an upper-body injury suffered in Wednesday's win over the Ducks.
It was Thornton's first game missed since Nov. 11, 2010, and the streak was the third longest in franchise history.
Thornton has recorded a team-high 33 points this season with nine goals and 24 assists.
