EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) The threat of severe weather has delayed the start of Friday night's preseason game between the Miami Dolphins and the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium.

Less than 20 minutes before the scheduled 7 p.m. start, stadium officials made an announcement, telling fans to leave their seats and to seek cover with the bad weather approaching.

The teams had already left the field before the announcement. The seats and the field were empty with less than five minutes to kickoff. A light rain was falling.
